A grassroots project for women that is rooted in community.
Onwwardd is an initiative to improve health education for women, particularly those from deprived areas and communities. It supports women to build the knowledge and the skills they need to make the right health decisions for themselves and their families.
Our engagements are under-pinned by evidence and centred on prevention, while supporting women to advocate for themselves with knowledge.
Our Aim
Our Programmes
We approach the delivery of our initiative through the following four key dimensions that are complementary and essential to advancing health education.
Helping women understand the importance of health literacy in healthy living and providing them with resources they need for self-education.
Working with communities and local partners to improve the overall standard of health literacy, ensuring no woman is left behind by complex or inaccessible information.
Directing to and delivering with partners, evidence-based health education that is tailored and engaging.
Exploring what works in women's health education, gathering insights from our community to shape programmes that are relevant, effective, and grounded in real experience.
